Prof. Georgi Stefanov

Date of birth - 24.06.1953, Veliko Tarnovo.

In 1978 he graduated specialty "Law" at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". Until 1980 he was an intern judge at the District Court of Veliko Tarnovo. In 1981 he was elected assistant professor of "Civil Law" in "D. A. Tzenov " Academy of Economics, Svishtov. In 1991 he gained scientific degree "Doctor". In the period 1993-1995 was deputy dean of the Law Faculty of Veliko Tarnovo University. In 1995 he acquired the scientific degree Associate Professor in Law Faculty of Veliko Tarnovo University "St. St. Cyril and Methodius ", and in 2004 - professor. In the period 2004-2006 dean of the Faculty of Law of University of Ruse "A. Kanchev" and from 2007 to 2011 was dean of the Faculty of Economics of Veliko Tarnovo University. In 2011 he became deputy dean of the Law Faculty of Veliko Tarnovo University and Head of the Department "Civil Law" at Law Faculty of University of Ruse "A. Kanchev".

He specialized in Moscow Financial Institute - Russia, Gdansk University, Catholic University of Leuven - Belgium and Columbia University in the US.

Author of over 100 publications in the field of commercial law, cooperative law, European company law and commercial insolvency.

Arbiter at the Arbitration Court of the Bulgarian Industrial Association and to the Arbitration Court of the European legal Chamber - Sofia. Chairman of the Association of Alternative Dispute Resolution - Veliko Tarnovo.
