History

“Trade Union Mutual Insurance Cooperative – TUMICO” was established in late 1997 under the name “Medic-Center”. At the time of its establishment, the cooperative united 662 individuals.

The insurer received its license for practicing insurance activity on August 10, 1998.

By decision of Veliko Tarnovo District Court on 26.09.2005, the name of the insurer was modified and MIC “Medic center” becomes „Trade Union Mutual Insurance Cooperative - TUMICO“ with new headquarter and registered office: 1 "Macedonia" sq., Sofia.

TUMICO offers mixed and risk life insurances, pension insurances, and additional insurances.

To achieve its objectives and strengthening its position in the insurance TUMICO achieved effective cooperation with the structures of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria. TUMICO is built on the principles of the European insurance standard and actively supports and complies with the regulatory acts governing the development of the insurance in Bulgaria.
